(our love to you Jeff, and of course your Mama, we pray for a quick recovery)... here's a quick break down: The ceremony was absolutely beautiful... we held it at the Shri Vishnu Temple in Jersey City. More than 40 people crammed themselves into the tiny space, including two videographers, the photographer and of course the priest. Mama Deepa cried most of the time, even when she poured the oil. Naresh's parents were overwhelmed as well... especially since they now have a new daughter. When we saw the photos of the two families together... well we were speechless. They were stunning. Naresh wants me to tell all of you that he thinks I look gorgeous online ("and in person" -NARESH). WE love this website... and we love that we can invite as many people as we want to visit our time of happiness, and let all of you join in on the fun. We also look foward to having our first home viewing of our wedding video. We already got to see a bit of the edited version... superbly professional. Actually the whole wedding crew was more than professional. They were prompt, courteous and meshed very well with the family. Actually the most exciting part of the wedding was when Ghee Media played the live feed during the cake cutting. We were larger than life... watching ourselves, watching everyone else on screen during speeches, dancing, and our toast.

Nadia & Nareshnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-686197834689470725.post-91303947428140851532007-08-31T00:54:00.001-04:002007-12-17T23:41:54.901-05:00tomorrowTonight, tonight... I can't believe that tomorrow morning is the day. Jenn is waiting for me to go to dinner. I just wanted to say hello and goodbye to all of you, my last day as a single woman. I love you Naresh.Nadia & Nareshnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-686197834689470725.post-25942592856658431362007-08-26T01:10:00.001-04:002007-12-17T23:40:16.140-05:00A poet he is not :) ...... but so sincere. Actually that it what I like about Naresh the best. He only says what he means, and means what he says. I don't have to guess about anything. Five days to the wedding, and I just know in my heart that, no matter what, we can get through anything together. I feel tingly all over... and more so as the big day nears. Soon I will have a new family, a new household and new parents. I am so thankful to you Ma. I love you.Nadia & Nareshnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-686197834689470725.post-89453785856934221372007-08-10T13:33:00.001-04:002007-12-17T23:39:04.274-05:00Yo...Are Vah! Enough spice to keep things going on an even keel, but not enough to scare off the American born. If any of you remember Auntie Induben's curry last winter at Nina's graduation... I've never seen so many people drinking so much water... still funny. Naresh just reminded me to tell all of you to remember to dress appropriately for the temple ceremony on Friday. Naresh's Dadima is very serious about keeping with tradition, so Nick and Amit, don't dare wear those pimp hats.Nadia & Nareshnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-686197834689470725.post-90808400071282151882007-07-14T18:14:00.001-04:002007-12-17T23:35:13.188-05:00Look..it's us again. We just got back from Great Adventure. Naresh won me a stuffed animal (octopus I think???). We were thinking of using it as the decoration on top of our cake.Nadia & Nareshnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-686197834689470725.post-37448028958656232482007-07-01T11:31:00.001-04:002007-12-17T23:34:16.246-05:00Hello again.Naresh here. Two months left. We have been preparing and carefully calculating, arranging and sorting, and every once and a while plans seem to go belly up. We had to switch rooms at the catering hall due to a leak, Nadia's rather upset because the florist, who told us they most definately had access to her favorite flowers, now does not, and we paid him ahead of time, so we're stuck with using a new design arrangement that the lady folk are not fond of, and Jeff might not be able to make it because his mother's cancer has taken an unfortunate turn for the worse. Stand strong Jeff.
We're sending out e-mails, letters and informing all of you here about the room change. It's upstairs to the right in the Sittar Hall and no longer on the bottom floor in the Rupi Room. Please make note of it, or you'll end up spending the evening ankle deep in stale water.Nadia & Nareshnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-686197834689470725.post-34693367791327300702007-06-03T13:13:00.001-04:002007-12-17T23:32:42.026-05:00Happily TogetherOk... so we're both here, but I'm writing... Naresh is humming silly tunes in the background, randomly telling me what to jot down. Here's what he's said so far: "Tell them about the cool party favors we found (except I won't since it's a surpise)." - "Don't forget that accha caterer we found near the house, that makes the Saag exactly like Auntie Purnima, except less spicy, but still close call." - "We finally picked out the band, and they promised to play Raghav," and "Don't forget to tell the photographer to shoot me on my left side, because I look so GQ."
Thank you Naresh :)... He's gone back in the room with Raj to play Wii.
Oh.. for all of you reading this, don't forget to pin something orange to your clothes on the big day... you'll see why when you arrive.Nadia & Nareshnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-686197834689470725.post-46004679070511849512007-05-30T12:52:00.000-04:002007-12-17T23:30:45.362-05:00More recent events:We've decided to go with the half and half theme that Jenn came up with - Half West Indian, Half American style weddings... so guess what that means? I get to wear that gorgeous white dress that Seema picked out for me. I almost missed it when we went to David's Bridal. It was somewhere scrunched in the back of the row, in the petite section. I look like a glowing princess. I can't wait till Naresh sees me. I can't wait to see him... I mean generally he's a spiffy dresser, but him in a tux !!! This whole experience is so exciting. Just the fact that I met this man who I'm going to spend my whole life with... so surreal. I remember when we first met... when Jenn introduced us, and I shook his hand for the first time. Even before I looked up into his eyes, I just knew. Naresh tells me that before he even walked over to say hello, as soon as he saw me, he felt this thud in his chest and an inner voice that said "it's her!"Nadia & Nareshnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-686197834689470725.post-44292756461242134752007-05-05T20:11:00.001-04:002007-12-17T23:29:03.814-05:00Hi guysHi guys, I told Nadia I'd write something (love ya mera soniya)... I mean I have a lot to say, but it's not coming out. You guys know I'm more of the quiet silent type... actually not so much since I've been around Nadia... but still I mean, this stuff doesn't come so naturally as it does her. I have to say hello to Dadima, since she's the force behind this whole thing. Old but so wise. (She's the one who told me to buy the ring and propose, and stop sitting on my thumb). As everyone knows, I'm not good with time frames, and can run with something till it runs out. I'm glad she encouraged me to go for it, I most definitely do not want to run out of Nadia (AWWWWW).Nadia & Nareshnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-686197834689470725.post-10085427189381134912007-05-01T23:08:00.002-04:002008-05-16T10:02:05.758-04:00i'm not sure what to writeNadia here... Parag from Ghee Media offered us this site, and told us that this is our personal forum with which we can keep in touch with all of you. Right now we're sitting together, excited and nervous about everything... though smling a lot. Naresh just informed me he has to go make lunch so I'm going to continue on this until he gets out of the kitchen [[I think he's more out of words than myself]]. You know, honestly, I had no idea what, when it came down to it, went into making a wedding happen. While I am full of enthusiasm, I feel quite overwhelmed with arranging all of the deatails... and yes, i know, I am not alone and all of you wonderful (Kudrati") have been here making phone calls, hiring and ordering and sewing and decorating, helping everything run that much smoother...And of course there's my wonderful Naresh, who has spent hours upon hours in and out of stores, nodding and agreeing on color schemes he has no interest in, and of course tasting every cake we were presented with. Four months left.Nadia & Nareshnoreply@blogger.com
